Erosion control
Erosion Control is very important part of the construction process that Schmidt Site Work takes very seriously. We work hard at controlling our projects storm runoff and reducing the impact it has on the surrounding areas. We understand that future generation depends on our action. Schmidt Site Work understands the impact construction projects can have on the surrounding ecosystem. We pride ourselves on staging projects in a way that allows disturbed areas to be permanently stabilized immediately upon completion and installing erosion control items immediately when the drawings require them to be.
Clearing & Grubbing
Clearing & Grubbing is a process that consists of cutting down the trees and removing the stump from the soil. The trees and stumps are then either chipped or burned. If chipped the material will either be used onsite to control soil erosion or hauled off with trucks.
Excavation & Grading
Excavation & Grading includes stripping topsoil, excavation and fill, and topsoil spreading. Schmidt Site Work will specialize in moving these soils with four-wheel drive tractors and pull pans. Topsoil is an upper, outermost layer of soil roughly six inches deep that is on top of the structural fill and has organic matter in it that will not meet structural fill specification. We strip this layer off and place it in designated areas on the project or export it to an offsite location. Once the clean structural material is exposed we excavate the earth that is above proposed grades and move it to the areas that are below proposed grades. Topsoil spreading is then placed in areas that will be stabilized with grass.

Aggregate Base & Asphalt Paving

Striping & Signage
Line Striping is a general term relating to all things painted on the asphalt in your parking lots or concrete in a parking structure. These items include lines, stencils, curbs, crosshatching, handicaps etc. Schmidt Site Work’s striping related services also include wheel stops, steel bollards, and traffic signs such as handicap & fire lane. We understand how it can be the final service on top of a new seal, concrete or asphalt project. When done correctly, it can really give your project a professional and finished look. Along with striping we also provide parking lot signage services as well. Handicap signs, entrance signs, directional signs and custom designed signs can all be included in our price.
Fencing
We offer installation of residential, commercial, and industrial fencing. We can help you to repair or maintain an existing fence as well as install a new one.
